The automotive supplier Germa from Pulheim, near Cologne, specialises in the development and production of demanding composite components in small and medium-sized volumes, primarily for the automotive industry, but also for the medical technology and mechanical engineering sectors.
The company that was founded in 2010 and which currently has a headcount of over 50 employees, has developed into a popular OEM supplier within a short space of time.
The Hungarian investor, Janos Jambor, has been active in different sectors in Germany with his group for over 20 years - as an automotive supplier, in the special mechanical engineering sector as well as in many other areas.
The group that has over 1,200 employees, is with immediate effect taking over the majority stake, namely 80%, in the automotive supplier Germa and is thus expanding its portfolio to include the important area of forward-looking lightweight design technology.
The founder, Gero Placheta, continues to hold 20% of the company shares and in his position as Executive Director is still responsible for the future of the company that is geared for growth.
Gero Placheta: “I am very much looking forward to further developing the company together with a strong partner and supported by the group’s extremely efficient network.”
